Welcome to the start of 2008 - 2009 school year, a historical year for Talawanda Middle School. TMS received wonderful news in mid-August from the state of Ohio, a designation of EFFECTIVE on the state report card and the Talawanda School District received a well deserved rating of EXCELLENT!

I am Mark A. Iles, assistant principal with responsibilities for attendance, discipline, truancy, Case Manager for students with special needs grades, ProgressBook for staff and parents, District LPDC, Continuous Improvement Plan - Program and Instruction Committees. I am joining the TMS team after three years in the same position at Talawanda High School.

I am currently a member of the OASSA (Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators) and NASSP (National Association of Secondary School Administrators).
